ezy ryders

published by The Artist Edition
by Cate Dingley, foreword by Jimmie Briggs, glossary by Imir Leveque
hardcover, 144 pages
$42

Ezy Ryders is a story that has not been told often enough—that of the Black motorcycle club (or MC) set. Photographed over five years, Ezy Ryders tails New York City’s Black bikers to bike blessings, charity runs, bikini bike washes, and anniversary parties, highlighting the under-looked culture’s vices and victories. Ten riders share their personal experiences of the MC world, their narration weaving through the photographs.
A Collector’s Edition is also available in a limited run of 15. This includes a signed book inside a custom display box, and an 8x10” archival photograph.

“A story of camaraderie and community, Ezy Ryders is a portrait of the families we make for ourselves that stick together, through good times and bad.” —Miss Sara Rosen, i-D

“The book flows like an oral history and has the intimate feel of an old group of friends sharing stories at the end of a party, long after most guests have left.” —Julius Constantine Motal, NBC

"Cate Dingley’s photographs are compelling, intimate, and full of compassion. And beautifully printed… a physically impeccable book.”—Paul D’Orleans, The Vintagent
